Transformer Oil
CNT TRANSFORMERS supplies Transformer Oil.
Transformer Oil produced from crude oil at Petroleum Refinary.
Type of Transformer Oil 1) Naphthenic Transformer Oil 2) Paraffinic Transformer Oil
Naphthenic Transformer Oil Naphthenic Oil is widely considered the industry standard for power transformers. Its low pour point makes it ideal for European cold climates region, and its ability to absorb gas under electrical stress ensures safer, long-term performance. 1. Chemical Structure: Molecules arranged in closed rings (cycloalkanes). 2. Viscosity & Cooling: Lower viscosity, which allows for better convection flow and cooling. 3. Pour Point: Very low (-40°C to -60°C); contains little to no wax. 4. Oxidation & Sludge: More easily oxidized, but the resulting sludge is hightly soluble and stays dissolved without blocking cooling ducts. 5. Flash Point: Lower flash point. 6. Gassing Tendency: Absorb gas under electrical stress, reducing the risk of partial discharge. 7. Seal Compatibility: Safe to use with most standard transformer rubber seals.
Paraffinic Transformer Oil Paraffinic Oil is often favored in warmer asian regions like India where the risk of the oil freezing is negligible. Because it boasts higher oxidation stability, it can last longer in high-temperature applications, provided the cooling system is maintained well enough to handle any potential sludge buildup. 1. Chemical Structure: Molecules arranged in long, open chains (alkanes). 2. Viscosity & Cooling: Higher viscosity; circulation can slow down at lower temperatures. 3. Pour Point: Higher (-10°C to 0°C); contains natural waxes. 4. Oxidation & Sludge: More resistant to oxidation, but the sludge it produces is insuluble and can settle at the bottom of the tank. 5. Flash Point: Higher flash point, making it slighly safer regarding fire risks. 6. Gassing Tendency: Evolves gas under electrical stress, which can be collected at Buchholz Relay. 7. Seal Compatibility: Can interact chemically with certain rubber seals, occasionally causing shrinkage or leakages. Suggested to use rubberized Cork gasket seals.
Supply of Transformer Oil CNT TRANSFORMERS supply Transformer Oil produced from crude oil at Petroleum Refinary, specifically designed using narrow boiling range cuts of paraffinic base stock. The formulation ensures that the Transformer Oil possesses exceptional characteristics in aspects of high dielectric strength, thermal conductivity, BDV value, insulation properties, improved cooling, and both oxidation and chemical stability. These features make it ideal for operating at higher temperature ranges, especially in transformers with capacities ranging in the thousands of Kilo-Volt-Amperes (KVA). Additionally, this Transformer Oil is highly recommended for use in oil-filled transformers, certain types of high-voltage capacitors, as well as high-voltage switches and circuit breakers. The Transformer Oil is a premium-grade electrical insulating fluid specially designed for use in transformers. This high-quality product offers excellent dielectric properties, thermal stability, and oxidation resistance, ensuring optimal performance and prolonged equipment life. With its uninhibited formulation, it provides effective insulation and cooling for transformers, safeguarding against electrical breakdown and minimizing the risk of overheating.
